With the lack of summer sunshine the fashion pack are looking ahead to the chillier autumn season to give them a burst of inspiration when it comes wrapping up. Melt London is a quintessentially British label, which offers a heraldic collection of stunning and striking military coats for women to wear with confidence.
Melt’s new premium coat collection entitled ‘Percival Loves Doris’ has a quirky British style, offering a combination of structured lines offset with softer pieces that are based on the historic military dress uniforms of Officers on parade. Each style of coat is sexy and feminine but all command a regal authority, which will give the wearer a certain air of confidence when worn.
One of my favourites the Herbert Coat (RRP £650.00) in military green, is Melt’s jewel in the royal crown as it has an edgy detail of unzipping at the waist and detaching full skirt reveals a cropped biker-inspired jacket – giving the modern woman two choices for her versatile capsule autumn wardrobe!
However, if this coat somewhat stretches your budget there are other pieces in the collection that may catch your eye comprising of mix and match separates. Pieces include tailored trousers, graphic designer tees, edgy waistcoats, classic dresses, pencil skirts with a twist and silk camisoles. I love this structured tulip shaped skirt (RRP £145), which is available in military green and black – simplistic yet explicitly striking!
Melt’s entire collection is focused on revealing distinctive detailing, the jackets and waistcoats are finished with striking black enameled buttons sporting silver crowns or antique nickel buttons engraved with heraldic shields, which are synonymous and consistent with the heraldic theme.
